I currently work with the Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) under the Global Fund TB/HIV Integration Project in Nigeria, specifically in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). I serve as a PDX Data Clerk, working alongside our field radiographer to support image capture, documentation and community engagement during screenings.

We use MinXray’s portable digital X-ray systems in hard-to-reach communities. The goal is to bridge the healthcare access gap and enhance the efficiency of community-based TB/HIV interventions (CBHR).

I’ve been using MinXray systems in the field for two months now. Honestly, the experience has been nothing short of incredible. The portability is a total game-changer. We’re able to move from one hard-to-reach community to another with ease, bringing critical TB screening services right to people’s doorsteps.

There’s something deeply moving about seeing the relief on someone’s face when they realize they can be screened on the spot and receive their results in under two minutes. No long travel, no endless waiting. It takes the word “access” to a whole new level.

On our last outreach, I screened a woman who had a card score of 98 — clear signs of advanced TB. It was a sobering reminder of how delayed access can cost lives, but the fact that we were able to screen her quickly and flag her for immediate follow-up made all the difference. The rapid result generation doesn’t just improve access, it allows us to track cases in real time and act fast. It’s amazing.

For me, this isn’t just equipment; it’s a symbol of equity. It’s a tool that’s helping rewrite the story of healthcare delivery in communities that are often left behind.
