The Nepal delivery will be used on-site at the hospital as well as deployed country-wide as part of ongoing efforts to control tuberculosis in that country. MinXray Continues to Supply Haitian Disaster Relief Agencies with Equipment & Support

Northbrook, IL February 19, 2015 – MinXray continues to be a key global supplier of portable, compact medical digital imaging equipment with their recent delivery of a MinXray HF100HF+ portable x-ray unit and FireCR system setup to the Haiti Medical Mission Clinic, Saint Ard, Haiti.

The January 2015 install adds to MinXray’s growing experience supplying disaster relief agencies in Haiti with much needed medical imaging equipment. Previously supplied relief agencies include Jenkins Penn Haitian Relief Organization (JPHRO) and Catholic Relief Services (CRS).

MinXray staff remained onsite in Haiti for several days, training clinic staff on proper use of the new equipment. The portable x-ray and digital imaging system will be used to meet the needs of Saint Ard’s underserved community.

MinXray Delivers Eleventh Portable X-Ray Unit to AIDS Program in Nigeria

Northbrook, IL February 19, 2015 – MinXray continues to be a key global supplier of portable, compact digital imaging equipment with their recent delivery of a MinXray CMDR-2S portable digital radiographic system to AIDS Program in Nigeria (APIN)’s Abuja, Nigeria office.

MinXray delivered its first portable digital radiographic system unit to the Nigerian TB Research and Control Hospital in Zaria, Nigeria in 2009. Since then, the company has supplied more than 25 portable digital radiographic systems to several programs in that country that focus on the treatment and prevention of AIDS and tuberculosis.

The January 2015 delivery to APIN of MinXray’s CMDR-2S unit, designed for being light-weight, compact and offering high throughput, will be used in multiple locations within Nigeria as part of services APIN provides in underserved communities and those hit hardest by AIDS. Since 2010, APIN has relied on MinXray to provide portable x-ray and digital imaging equipment, with this installation marking the eleventh unit delivered to the organization.

Units Delivered to Specialized Projects in Latin America and Africa

Northbrook, IL June 11, 2013 – MinXray continues to be the top supplier of compact, easily transported and operated, state-of-the-art portable digital imaging equipment to global health and forensics projects. Recent installations in Dakar, Senegal and Bogota, Colombia proved highly successful for specialized end users.

In Dakar, Senegal, West Africa, three CMDR-2S units were installed to assist the Programme National de lute Contre la Tuberculose, an organization that focuses on the control of tuberculosis. The portable digital imaging units will be transported all around the country to assess the incidence of TB. MinXray staff held train-the-trainer sessions with three separate groups of technicians on proper use the machines. The machines were the first systems to be delivered to this part of Western Africa by MinXray.

In Colombia, South America five CMDR-2S units and accessories were delivered to be utilized by Fiscalia — a government agency responsible for forensic research and human remains identification. Five teams of physicians, investigators and odontologists were trained by MinXray staff in a government facility in Bogota.

The CMDR-2S is a complete deployable direct radiography system featuring a ruggedized laptop computer and Varian DR Imaging Panel integrated with a HF120/60 HPPW PowerPlus portable x-ray unit.

Jeanne Stapleton promoted to Veterinary Products Manager at MinXray, Inc.

Northbrook, IL March 20, 2013 – MinXray, Inc. is pleased to announce that Jeanne Stapleton has been promoted to Veterinary Products Manager at MinXray. Stapleton is primarily responsible for building the digital x-ray imaging system product offerings, and growing sales for these products in the company’s veterinary market segments.

In addition to her new duties as veterinary products manager, she also manages the marketing and sales functions for all of MinXray’s product lines in the veterinary, medical, dental, podiatric, and military markets.

Stapleton joined MinXray in October 2008 as Marketing and Sales Coordinator. Before joining MinXray, Stapleton served as a research scientist at Searle for ten years. She comes to MinXray with diverse experience in private practice, acadamia, research and is a licensed vet technician. Her medical illustrations can found in several medical journals and textbooks.

Frederick Brown promoted to Director, Marketing & Sales at MinXray, Inc.

Northbrook, IL June 11, 2012 – MinXray, Inc. is pleased to announce that Frederick D. Brown has been promoted to Director, Marketing & Sales at MinXray. Brown will direct and manage the marketing and sales functions for all of MinXray’s product lines in the medical, dental, podiatric, veterinary, and military markets.

Brown joined MinXray in December 2006 as Operations Manager, Digital Imaging. He was responsible for building MinXray’s digital x-ray imaging system product offerings, and growing sales for these products in the company’s commercial and government medical market segments. Most recently, Brown was Sales Director, Government and Digital Imaging.

Before joining MinXray, Brown worked in the private sector and as a civilian employee of the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA). He retired from the U.S. Navy after a 20 year career. His educational background includes a Master’s degree in education, a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, and an Associate’s degree in biomedical engineering science.

“We’re very fortunate to have such talented individuals working within our company, “Kretchmer said. “Fred will be a tremendous asset to furthering our sales and marketing growth.”

MinXray Announces New Installation of Portable X-Ray / Digital CR Systems in Nigeria

Northbrook, IL November, 22 2010 – Minxray Inc., a leading supplier in the portable x-ray equipment marketplace, is pleased to announce that it recently installed seven more portable x-ray/digital CR systems throughout Nigeria thereby increasing its presence in the healthcare arena in Africa.

The purchased systems included MinXray’s HF120/60HPPWV® PowerPlus, one of the most powerful portable x-ray units available today and Carestream POC 140 CR computed radiography systems. The systems were installed in multiple locations around the country in some cases where there was no existing x-ray imaging capability.

System purchases were funded provided by the US Government as part of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The implementing partner in Nigeria for PEPFAR was Harvard School of Public Health supported APIN — Aids Prevention In Nigeria program. The systems will be used for required general radiography imaging including chest imaging for TB assessment.

The project included onsite installation and comprehensive training at each site in Nigeria by MinXray personnel, Joel Koplos, VP Marketing and Sales and Michael Cairnie, RT ( r )( ct )ARDM, Applications Specialist.

This new system features the HF100AP, MinXray’s first x-ray unit developed exclusively for small animal practice. The HF100AP offers “Anatomical Programming”, eliminating the need for a technique chart. The purchased systems included MinXray’s HF120/60HPPWV PowerPlus®, one of the most powerful portables available today and Carestream POC 140 CR computed radiography systems. The systems were installed in seven different locations around the country in some cases where there was no existing x-ray imaging capability.

The systems were purchased by funding provided by the US Government as part of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). There were several implementing partners including the University of Maryland and Columbia University AIDS relief programs.

MinXray Awarded U.S. Army Radiography Contract for VERTX

Northbrook, IL December 2, 2008 – MinXray, Inc. has been awarded a contract with the U.S. Army to supply the next generation of Computed Radiography (CR) digital x-ray imaging systems. The iCRco VERTX outperformed the competition during intensive environmental testing at Aberdeen Proving Grounds and Redstone Arsenal. The VERTX features True Flat Path Scan™, providing artifact-free images due to the unique design of the cassette and mounting of the phosphor image plate (IP). This scanner only contains one moving part, yielding less complicated service and repair issues. The fast throughput and automatic post processing of the images provide speed in critical situations. The user-friendly software will make training and operation efficient duties.

The versatile VERTX can be used as a free-standing scanner. The unit produces up to 120 kVDC and over 200 mAs, and features five memory stations to store and easily recall frequently used exposure techniques. The XGSMKIVLW is a customized, stainless steel, portable mobile stand making the x-ray equipment easy to transport and set up. A Carestream POC 260 CR computed radiography system rounds out the clinic’s new equipment. This durable, compact and lightweight radiography system enables all imaging functions to be performed at the point of patient care and includes the single-plate CR reader, Kodak flexible phosphor screens, advanced image management software and a PC-based review station.

The equipment was purchased by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that received funds from the U.S. State department.

U.S. Army Selects MinXray Portable X-ray Equipment for Field Use

Northbrook, IL March 5, 2008 – The U.S. Army has selected the MinXray MXRSLW Complete Portable Medical X-ray System Package as their new standard for field deployable and battlefield portable diagnostic radiography. This system consists of MinXray’s breakthrough model HF120/60HPPWV PowerPlus™ high frequency portable x-ray unit, the model XGSMKIVLW gas spring portable mobile stand with 16″ wheels, and the model HF100HSTC Hardigg mil spec system transport case.
